Yes. (You will receive for each pair of students: a small balloon, a pipe cleaner (or craft sticks or a plastic spoon), a clothes peg, a cotton ball, and ground pepper/paprika, a plastic lunch box or a small clear plastic container or cup and some small torn up pieces of paper.)

Background Information: 

Every bee has a job. Worker bees clean the hive; others are nurses who take care of the brood; and some are foragers and are responsible for gathering pollen to make the honey. Working together bees are highly organized, yet their brains are about the size of a sesame seed.  Explore the work of bees using a hands-on activity.

Prior Knowledge:

No prior knowledge is required.

• understand the importance of pollination
