How do I dial in?

Once your booking has been confirmed you will be sent the dial-in details. You will be able to access from your classroom by projecting your laptop onto your whiteboard or using a Polycom mobile monitor if you have one. The dial in details we use depending on the Event include:

Using interactive video conferencing equipment or just a laptop & webcam, your students can expand their scientific experience via live, multi-media presentations. Using inquiry-based learning, these 55-minute conferences incorporate live animals (whenever possible) and current research programs happening right here at the dynamic Alaska SeaLife Center! The materials for each program include a teacher's guide with specific background information and activity ideas, as well as supplies for the session's hands-on activities. ‘Insectivores 101’ has been designed for Years 5-6 high ability students. Entomologist and PhD Candidate, Shasta Henry, from the University of Tasmania will lead an exciting presentation followed by a Q&A session. The theme will be ‘Did you know that insects are the superfood of the future?

Students will then have a short break followed by an engaging hands-on session where students will conduct a scientific taste-testing trial, respond to a series of super-food insect breeding challenges, and investigate the impact of introducing a new insect super-species into our environment.
