Thailand Delegation discovers STEM @ Ecolinc
Twenty one education delegates from six Thai schools ventured to Ecolinc on April 4th to experience Environmental STEM education at its best. The delegates enthusiastically embraced lizards, snakes, a dingo, a baby wallaby and a koala. Everyone knows that animals are a hard act to follow, but a presentation explaining the goals and the programs @ Ecolinc was also very well received. Delegates also learnt about Ecolinc’s new learning management system and the calendar of video conferenced events on offer to schools.
Exploring the labs and other facilities provided further opportunities to interact with Australian reptiles in the Lizard Lounge at Ecolinc. The delegation then took advantage of the sunshine to explore the Ecolinc wetlands area coming face to face with a life-size diprotodon. After lunch the delegates were treated to a working classroom exploring the lifecycle of frogs before heading back to Melbourne.
