St. Albans PS has become the first Chinese school to join a Victorian school at a STEM Linc Event. The two schools enjoyed chatting live to a diver on the Great Barrier Reef as he swam around exploring the unique environment for them. While the students were a long way from Queensland they definitely got to experience first hand this magical ecosystem. Many interesting question were posed by the students who wanted to know for example how much the sharks consumed in a week. Having two countries represented opened a conversation around how we need to all contribute globally to the issue of climate change to protect the delicate eco-balance of reefs globally.
Chinese Teacher feedback: “All the kids really enjoyed the project, so did I. I’m very appreciated that you provide us a great online project.”
